Online sponsorship

It's easy!

We've teamed up with Justgiving to enable you to create your own online sponsorship page. This is a quick and easy way to get your friends and family to pledge and even donate to your fundraising target online using their debit and credit cards. Simply follow the step by step instructions below.

How to set up your Just Giving fundraising page

1. Log onto the  Just Giving home page

2. In the 'Find a charity' search box, type in 'The Blue Cross'

3. On the results page, you will see The Blue Cross entry. Click 'select'

4. On the next page, click on the orange button labelled 'Raise money'

5. On the following page, click on 'create your page'

6. You will see Take Your Dog to Work Day listed as an event. Click 'select'

7. Enter your email address and click 'continue using our secure server'

8. Complete the registration page and click 'continue'

9. Personalise your page with details such as what you will call it, your web link to email to your friends, the message you would like on your page as well as your fundraising target

10. You can select one of the images provided or follow the instructions to upload a picture of yourself

11. Justgiving charges a small transaction fee on donations. Money is transferred automatically into your charity's bank account — you don't have to chase any cash or cheques.

12. Finally, email absolutely everybody you know to ask if they will support your fundraising efforts. You can do this directly from your web page or by simply copying and pasting your link and send from your own email.

Once your page is set up, simply email your friends and family with the web link and they can sponsor you online. The money is automatically forwarded to The Blue Cross; a quick and easy way to help animals in need!
